who we are

Moneyreagh Community Church

A community who love Jesus and make him known
Our Church is a group of people from all backgrounds and ages who are walking in God’s grace on a journey of transformation with Him as we all worship together.   We aim to be a community who carry hope and are passionately pursuing God’s heart for our local community through our ordinary everyday lives with the love of Jesus and the power of the Holy Spirit.
Our values are based on the vision of the early church as in Acts 2:42
We hope and pray that you feel a real feeling of Community and belonging in Moneyreagh Community Church
As part of the Church of Ireland we belong to the Diocese of Down and Dromore, where our Bishop Harold Miller provides vision and leadership to over 70 parishes spread across County Down, to the Ards Peninsula in the east and across to Portadown in the west.
As a member of the anglican communion we believe and adhere to the Nicene Creed, the 39 articles and the book of common prayer.
We also affirm the Evangelical Alliance ‘Basis of faith’ and the ‘Jerusalem Statement’ (2008).

Our Values

1) Love God passionately
Moneyreagh Community Church believes there is one true, holy God, eternally existing in three equal persons—Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We are all called to love God with all our hearts, mind and soul
(Matt 22:37)
2) Teach, Learn and Live in God’s Scripture
We believe in constant and lifelong devotion to God’s word and in our growth as Disciples of Jesus and to go into our community and the world to serve and make more disciples!
(Matthew 28:19)
3) Live spirit filled lives
We believe in the importance of being Spirit-filled and Spirit-led. It is through the Holy Spirit that transformation occurs. Moneyreagh Community Church encourages every member to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit and be empowered to expand His kingdom.
(Galatians 5:16-18, 1 Corinthians 12)
4) Celebrate Communion
We remember Christ’s passion and death, we celebrate his resurrection and ascension, and we look for the coming of his kingdom in the simple emblems of bread and wine.

5) Pray constantly
Moneyreagh Community Church believes in the power of prayer, indeed we are reminded to Never stop praying. Be thankful in all circumstances, for this is God’s will for you who belong to Christ Jesus.
(1 Thes 5:17-18)
6) Flourish in Fellowship
That we connect and share with purpose and reach people in our families, friends and community. We want to be a community of generosity, hospitality and integrity.
(Acts 2:42)
7) Worship God in Spirit and in Truth
Worship is natural, free and continuous in heaven, we want to see our community and nation changed through Christians experiencing the joy of worshipping and connecting with God now.
(Rev 4:8)
8) Live Generous lives for the sake of other and the Glory of Jesus Christ
(2 Corinthians 9)
